Ray White National Awards 2021

Ray White New Zealand’s annual awards ceremony was held on Saturday 18th September. The awards celebrate the best-performing individuals and offices from across the country. Due to lockdown restrictions, this year’s event were held virtually with over 2,000 members tuning in. Daniel Coulson, Ray White New Zealand Chief Operating Officer and auctioneer, hosted this year’s event. Despite the move to online, many of the nominees still got into the spirit of the event by sporting tuxedos and cocktail dresses for the big night.

Damerell Group is consistently recognised as one of the leading real estate businesses, both in New Zealand and internationally. This year was no different. The Ponsonby office awarded number two in New Zealand for overall performance. The team was also recognised as the third top office internationally across the thousand-office Ray White network.

The Ponsonby office also achieved number four for growth. In a year that required businesses to adapt to an ever-changing landscape, Damerell Group transacted a record billion dollars in property sales. We were exceptionally well-positioned to adapt our services throughout the pandemic. A strong focus on digital technology and online auctions allowed our team to continue to deliver excellent sales results throughout lockdown.

Damerell Group Managing Director, Gower Buchanan, says “The awards are an important part of recognising and celebrating the hard work and dedication of the entire team.”

Number One Office for Customer Service

Gower is most proud of the award for top office customer satisfaction. “We are committed to providing both our vendors and purchasers a highly professional service, with the highest ethical standards and legal rigour”, says Gower.

“I am extremely proud of the way every member of the team carries out their role to the very highest standards. It’s fantastic to see the Damerell Group team recognised by both Ray White and our customers.

Damerell Groups’ individual salespeople were also recognised for their outstanding efforts. Mike Robson was awarded number 15 and Angela Saunders number 12 in the top residential salesperson category, after the both having outstanding years.

Ray White New Zealand CEO, Carey Smith, said that the performance of the network over the past 12 months had been extraordinary. “The Group has continued to go from strength-to-strength this year, selling over $18 billion worth of property and managing 20,050 properties for landlords,”

Ray White Group Managing Director, Dan White, said the awards illustrated the energy within the Group.
“It fills me with immense pride every year when our annual awards are announced and our people are recognised. To see so many performing so well within the group can be put down to hard work and dedication.”
